Lori Flowers - Lori has been working in the field of investigative genetic genealogy for over 10 years. She began developing this expertise through working with her DNA results by finding her birth father. She is one of the founding volunteers with the DNA Doe Project (DDP) where she has used those techniques to solve cold cases which identify Jane and John Does including “Belle in the Well”, “Sheep’s Flat Jane Doe”, “Lavender Doe” (featured on Dateline) and many more. She has helped numerous adoptees find their birth parents as well. Lori brings a deep understanding of a person’s desire to know their roots and medical history to every search.
Missy Koski - Adopted at birth, Missy was always fascinated to learn about her adopted family’s history. Her parents taught her that adoptees were “chosen”, and she was blessed to grow up with parents that believed that.
She learned how to use genetic genealogy while searching for her biological family. After finding her family, she wanted to share her knowledge by helping others find their biological families too.
In 2018 Missy was introduced to the DNA Doe Project (DDP). Her curiosity was sparked and she became a volunteer soon after. This is where she met Lori Flowers.
Lori and Missy have volunteered together to solve adoption cases and numerous Jane and John Doe cases. Missy and some of the team were featured in an episode of NBC’s Dateline and Investigation Discovery’s Citizen P.I. about the identification of Lavender Doe.
Missy is the proud mother of one son, and grandmother of two grandsons. She is from Southern California but now lives in Texas with her husband of almost 40 years.
God Bless Texas!!
